ABOUT US
Alex has spent over 35 years in the corporate world and has held senior level positions in Finance, Manufacturing and Marketing Strategy. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant from Ontario and Quebec, and earned an Executive MBA from a Canadian Ivy League school (John Molson School of Business). In 2013, he earned a license to practice Immigration under the College of Canadian Immigration Consultants in Canada. He currently serves as a business consultant for foreign executives interested in developing their business operation in Canada with a reach to the North American Market.
Within the last 35 years, Alex has held senior managerial roles as CFO, CEO and Director of Operations for Technology and Engineering sector industries. He has experience in start-up manufacturing operations and has consulted numerous establishments in process improvements. He is a licensed Immigration Consultant in Canada and provides a full turn key service for executives and entrepreneurs wishing to expand their foreign operations in Canada.

At Invista, a number of our clients are international business people or entrepreneurs who need to submit professionally created business plans to support their ambitions in developing their start-up business foundations in Canada. We provide consultancy services for entrepreneurs looking to expand their business operations in Canada with a focus on the North American market.

OUR PROCESS
STEP 1
An initial 2 hour meeting or video conferencing understanding your current business operation or idea.
STEP 2
Discuss the contents of your past history of business, key management roles, review market performance data. An deep dive of understanding your business process. Success stories and challenges encountered.
STEP 3
We analyze historical financial data. Our approach includes activity based cost drivers rooted in your human resource requirements, investment in equipment that would render your operations competitive to the overall market. From this data we build upon sales projections, revenues and projected costs that would allow you to manage your financial risk. We then identify your start-up costs. We build your financial forecast, which would include a forecast of earnings, cashflow statement and balance sheet over a 5 year outlook. This exercise would include your participation and involvement; so you know exactly where each and every number comes from and can explain it to a lender or investor. Our plans are deliberately weighted heavily on the financial forecasting side because this is exactly what Banks, Lenders, Investors, VCs, and Angels are looking for. Our presentation of your business plan is persuasive and appealing to readers through diagrams and illustrations that are easily understood.
STEP 4
In this stage, we start writing the plan and again involve you. We include an overview of the marketplace and your business. We detail what makes your business different from your competition. We outline your sales and marketing strategies. We also explain how the business will be managed and include your roster of strategic partners. But most importantly, we will be clear, concise and to the point. We know that no one has the time or patience to read any more; so we give them only what they want and need. We hold weekly meetings to review questions and issues that allow the client to express his views.
STEP 5
We guide you with a presentation deck that answers key questions or concerns likely to be raised by your audience, whether for Government Immigration Applications or Capital Lenders. Our plans are appealing, simple to follow and easy to read. We also prepare you to “defend” your plan by going over it with you in detail. Although you have been involved throughout the process, we coach you on how to present your plan in the most effective manner.
